Over the years we have seen Godzilla go from Destructive Monster to Defender of the world. which role do you prefer him more?

for me i like him in the hero role, because i grew up with the late Showa series (Gigan-Terror of Mecha Godzilla)

I'm going to have tyo go with te destructive option. I love '54 and GMK and both of them have him being pretty bad. I just like the idea of him being mean or at the very least indifferent to people.

I grew up with Godzilla being a hero but I too like seeing Godzilla being the destroyer. For me, either way is fine but I kind of like the idea where he's an Anti Hero. He's fighting for himself or his son, destroying cities but saving the earth from evil monsters at the same time. I like the idea where he fights with other monsters and then teams up against the bigger threat. (Ghidorah the 3 Headed Monster was my first movie so this is probably why this stuck w/ me)
