Figure reviews and other article specials coming soon!!!

Hi everyone!  Sachiel here from a long hiatus.  I know its been a while since I've posted anything here at  Work, part-time studying and volunteering has prevented me from posting as frequently.  As a result you may have noticed that there has been an absence of coverage for the recent SH MonsterArts Godzilla 1964, SH MonsterArts Destoroyah Evolution, and SH MonsterArts Kiryu sets.  Rest assured I do have them in stock.  I just haven't found the time to do the detailed and lengthy reviews that I normally do.  I have also been planning a new long awaited anime section for that will cover everything that is Japanese animated from the movies, tv shows and figures.  This small section of the website will be called the "Anime Corner" and will pay special attention to the creative and popculture links that Japanese anime shares with Japanese Tokusatsu culture.  And trust me when I say that there are many connections.  Many of the people that used to work in Japanese animation have no jumped over to doing Japanese Tokusatsu productions and vice versa.

Anyways look forward to several updates in the early new year not in the least the long delayed SH MonsterArts reviews and long awaited "Anime Corner".  I'd like to wish everyone Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!

Amazon hot cake: MonsterArts Biollante sold out? More MonsterArts FW Gigan pics!

Biollante war

After the release of the new Godzilla 2014 trailer, Godzilla news has calmed down. It appears that not only my Biollante pre-order became unavailable but so is Godzilla Artist Matt Frank's order. Did you guys get your Biollante in before Amazon sold out? Let's hope it's just a delay from getting Bio over to the states.

While we wait for Bio to be back in stock, enjoy this awesome piece of Bio-art above (sorry don't know who the artist is) and also some new photos of the upcoming MonsterArts Final Wars Gigan flying your way in 2014!

551419 10202127126713677 445074078 nTitle says it all, Japan always gets the good stuff. On the official Japanese website of Godzilla 2014 shows two teaser trailers. One of the trailers cuts out the Halo jump footage and includes more footage from the Comic Con teaser plus an extra shot of Ken Watanabe. The second trailer is near identical to the US one except it has the extra scene of Ken Watanabe plus some Japanese text saying "The world ends", and then something abotu the god of death. (Sorry my Kanji is bad, maybe someone can translate the last 3 characters?)", and then a voice over in the end saying "Gojira".  The poster says "The World Ends" on the right, and "Godzilla rises" on the left.

Devil's Throat on lockdown

Nevada’s 'Devil’s Throat' sinkhole, thought to have formed in the past decade, is located in the remote wilds of the Mojave Desert - barren lands left scarred from atomic testing. Before being removed from this perimeter by security officers, one civilian leaked a smartphone image of what appears to be a secret quarantine zone established by paramilitary troops and scientific researchers.
Closer inspection reveals a URL that may contain more details on the mysterious M.U.T.O. group at the epicenter of this incident.

Thank you, IGN, for posting a decent image resolution.  See that USATodayMtime?  That's how it's done!

Godzilla, as he appears from above - trailer at 1pm ET!

Anyone who was able to see that ridiculous second trailer leak a few weeks back will remember just how infuriating the camerawork was during the HALO jump.  Actually, during all of it, but that's not the point!

We were obviously supposed to see something pretty cool in that jumper's POV, and now we can!

USAToday got a sneak peak, courtesy of Legendary, and even confirmed the release of the trailer online at 1pm, on Tuesday, December 10!  Still not sure what the hell the XML file is hinting at, then...

We're also treated to a shot of a scared Ford Brody, looking up at what we assume is the king, himself.

USA had this quote from the director, as well.

To me, he's like a force of nature, like the wrath of God or vengeance for the way we've behaved.  If this really happened, it would be like Sept. 11.
I want it to be epic. I want to get the hairs on the back of your neck up.

-Gareth Edwards
